I grew up in Stockholm where I did my Bachelor of Education at Stockholm University. I live with my family in Brighton East since 2013. I started working at Melbourne Swedish Community School in 2011 while  I was studying  in Melbourne. Since then, I have been the teacher of Utgård, VCE and Vikingarna. I have a Masters degree in Special Education from The University of Melbourne and have worked as a Special Education Teacher in both Sweden and Australia. I very much enjoy working at Melbourne Swedish Community School and I am so happy that we have so many students that want to keep the Swedish language alive and learn about our culture and amazing country.

I have worked at the Swedish School in Melbourne since 2009.
I am from Stockholm where I did my teacher’s degree in English and sports. I worked at an international school for a few years before moving to Australia in 1999.
My family, Steve, Tilda, Freja and I live in the ‘Dandenong Ranges’ not far from the famous steam train ‘Puffing Billy’. Our garden is often visited by wombats, kangaroos and beautiful birds. We love the nature and often go camping to different parts of Australia. My two daughters attend the Swedish School and they really enjoy getting Swedish friends, learning about the Swedish culture and the language.

I have had the pleasure of working as a teaching assistant since 2014 at the Swedish School. I am also a past student of the school and successfully completed VCE Swedish in 2015. Currently, I am undergoing a Bachelor of Science at Monash University and hope to graduate in 2020. Although I lived in Sweden in my younger years, attending the community school here in Melbourne and living in a Swedish household has been a great way for me to integrate my Aussie and Swedish identities into one. Assisting in the classroom is an incredibly rewarding experience and I look forward to continuing helping students at the Swedish School.

I was born in Gothenburg and have lived in Australia for 18 years, the last 11 years in Melbourne. I graduated as a Kinder and Prep teacher from the University of Gothenburg and have also studied Special Education and Psychology here in Australia. I have worked in schools both in Sweden and Australia and at the Swedish School in Melbourne since 2005. I have five children and the three youngest ones attend the Swedish School. My passions in life are music, dance, tennis (I love the Australian Open), Melbourne Victory FC and sitting up all night playing Wii when the children are in bed :-)

I have worked for Melbourne Swedish Community School since 2013. I am originally from Stockholm which is where I went to University to become a teacher. I have a degree in Swedish and Humanities for year 1-7 and I am also a trained Montessori teacher. In Sweden I worked as a teacher for more than 10 years at different schools before I moved to Australia in 2004 to study at Monash University. I live in a small town in East Gippsland, about 1.5 hours from Melbourne. It is not too far from either Melbourne, the snow or the ocean, so it suits me and my family perfectly. I am married to an Aussie and we have two girls who are attending the Swedish School.

I have been working as a teacher at The Melbourne Swedish school since 2015 and I thoroughly enjoy it. Prior to working at the Swedish School I used to work in the kitchen at the Swedish church, so you might recognise me from there. Melbourne has been my hometown since 1989 and I studied and gained my qualification as a teacher at the  Monash University. I love Swedish traditions, Swedish food and of course the Swedish language.  Together I hope we will have fun exploring these and other subject matters.
