The Melbourne Swedish Community School Ass Inc is a community school run by a committee elected by the parents.
The School has existed since 1979 and we have approximately 160 enrolled students.

Location
Due to expanding numbers, the School moved its operation from the Swedish Church in Toorak to Toorak Primary School a few years ago. The VCE classes, however, are still held at the Swedish Church. We also conduct classes in Geelong.
School Philosophy
Within its mix and the commonality of interest of its students, the School promotes multi-cultural values and more particularly provides a bridge between the cultures and languages shared by its children. To facilitate this end, the School endeavours to engender its values outside the classroom as well as inside by encouraging students and parents to attend various excursions and outings throughout the school year including the school camp. The Melbourne Swedish Community School is committed to developing the all-round individual capacity of students. So, the curriculum integrates a full range of various studies, including Swedish heritage, history, geography and provides for a number of cultural activities.

School coordinator
The School Coordinator, Anette Ryan, oversees the communication between parents, teachers and students to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. She also teaches and is available for a chat before and after school most Saturdays. She can also be contacted via email or phone.
